The Cape Collection was founded by Niel Floris and Melanie, a lawyer, head-hunter and a flight attendant from opposite sides of the world, who met in Cape Town. Seeking a new adventure, they decided to venture into the hospitality industry and purchased a guesthouse on Joubert Road in Green Point. The property immediately stood out to them, as it felt like fate - Niel’s surname is Joubert, after all!
Initially, Niel and Melanie continued running the property as a guest house, but with their busy lives, they soon found it challenging to give it the attention it required. Realising that managing a guesthouse demanded more time and care than they could provide, they decided to convert the property into the stunning Green Villa you see today.
Encouraged by the success of Green Villa on Airbnb, they decided to acquire and renovate additional properties, which now form part of the Green Collection: the Green Studio in Green Point, the Sea Point Beachfront Apartment, the GreenMojo in Sea Point, and the De Waterkant Apartment.
